Tell Your Camino Story

Are you a veteran of the Camino, prepared to embark on your fifth pilgrimage, prepared with your Compeed plasters and light-as-possible pack? A novice, as terrified about the challenges of the longest walk you’ve ever considered as you are excited to craft new memories on your journey?

Maybe you’re a fitness fanatic, bent on setting a personal record, but more likely, you are a wanderer, a rambler, or even a poet eager to savor each kilometer, conversation, and sip of café con leche along the way.

Perhaps you were drawn to the Way of St. James to find faith you’ve lost, mend a heart that feels too broken for words to express, to simply, once again, find your way. Or maybe your journey is a celebration of a milestone, a shared experience with someone you love, or a transition to realizing your dreams.

No matter who you are—or why the Camino called to you—you are a pilgrim, a peregrino, and you almost certainly have a story worth telling.

And that’s what The Camino Tales is all about, giving pilgrims a chance to tell their stories, not just about why the Camino called to them, but the stories that have defined, shaped, and challenged them. The stories we just can’t let go of.

Inspired by Chaucer and his pilgrims, I want to tell the stories of the people of the Camino. And while I hope to capture most on my next pilgrimage, there are surely as many ways to collect stories about the Camino as there are ways to walk it.
